Trust & Safety

Code of conduct

This is the plain-English version of the things our Terms of Service spell out in legal language. If you agreed to the terms, you agreed to this. The community guidelines cover how to behave at sessions; this covers what not to do on the platform itself.

Don't impersonate anyone

Your profile is you. Real photos of you, taken in the last 12 months. Real first name. Don't use someone else's photos, don't pretend to be a verified coach you're not, don't run an account on behalf of someone else.

Don't solicit money or promote your business in DMs

Sweatty is for finding training partners. It's not a lead source for your gym, your PT business, your supplement affiliate links, or your OnlyFans. If you're a qualified coach, apply through the coach marketplace — there's a place for you and you'll keep 85% of every session fee.

Don't harass people about their body, appearance, or progress

Unsolicited comments on someone's weight, shape, ability, or speed are out. So are "compliments" that are clearly about something other than training. The bar is whether the comment would feel welcome from a stranger at a gym you both train at — if not, don't send it on Sweatty.

Don't share other users' info outside Sweatty

Photos, names, locations, chat content, neighbourhoods — none of it leaves the app. Don't screenshot a profile to post on social. Don't tell your friends "this woman on Sweatty is..." with identifying details. A match is a private context.

Don't film or photograph other users without consent

No session footage with your partner in it unless they explicitly said yes that day. No mirror selfies that catch them in the background. No reels, no TikToks, no "form check" videos posted publicly. If you want to film yourself, frame the shot so they're not in it.

Don't try to identify or contact a match off-platform before the first session

Reverse-image searching a profile photo, finding someone on Instagram from their first name, asking a mutual friend for their number — all out. If they want you to have that info, they'll share it. The verification ladder exists so you don't need to.

If you break these rules

We delete accounts that break these rules. We don't give refunds for accounts removed for cause. Permanent bans flag your phone number and email so re-signup with the same identifiers is blocked. See community guidelines for the consequence ladder and appeals.
